So this is from a neighbourhood in Cranbrook, it appears like a cute video, but WARNING its really distrubing. The Mother deer charges the off-leash dog. Im posting this becuause Im pretty open about my hate for dog owners that let their big dogs roam free... sooo ya....check it out.
Your horrible. The dog was not roaming free but leashless and under the control by it's master. Did you not notice that the dog is going in the opposite direction from the dee4
Do you really think it would have been much different if the dog was on leash?
I cannot believe that you are using this video to bring merrit to your belief.
However, even dogs on leash can be chased/charged by deer. I have been chased by the crazy Mama deer that lives behind Overwaitea with my dog on leash, more than once over the years. That deer wanted to trample us both, even though my dog was on leash and had not even seen the deer until it was bearing down on us. If that deer has returned to it's summertime location behind Overwaitea/Skate Park area please be aware! She is super aggressive and has killed a dog in Ridgemont a couple of years back. Deer can be really scary but most people (such as myself) don't often realize this until they have an angry deer in front of them rearing up on their hind legs, aiming to come down on their head!

I stand by dogs need to be on a leash.
ReplyDeleteI stand by Schoolyard.
ReplyDeleteAny responsible dog owner knows that WILDLIFE are a danger. If that dog were on a leash, it would be briskly escorted away at the sight of the deer.
