I Love Playoffs

Its Playoff time!! One of the best parts to spring time. And it aint spring out, sooo thats why its okay to just throw yourself into it.

My Flames are out, so basically Im routing to my back pocket teams and running with it. Like the Chicago Blackhawks for instance, I feel obliged to cheer for them because I am one of Wayne's Worlds biggest fans.

I look forward to the next game, whatever it is really.
I think for tonight Im going to make some homemade crab and avacado sushi avec ponzu sauce and kick back with a glass of sav blanc, perferably something from New Zealand.

I dont know how this didnt get brought to my attention earlier, but OMG my whole life is a SHAM! all this tiem we have all been walking around thinking our Zodiac sign was what we were told at birth. Then Boom! Science has gotta go and prove thats is alll wrong.
Bascially in a nutshell, the Zodiac is based on the position the sun was when you were born. BUT those coodinates we use to measure where the Sun was for our Zodiac sign is based on where the earth was 2200 years ago, and now that modern science has proved that the Earth "wobbles" due to some magnetic thingy, the coodiates were slipping shall we say. SO, your sign MAY not be what it actrualy was when you were born!!! AHHHH
This is crazy, I LOVE being a pisces, its decribes me sooo perfectly, I have embodied it, maybe I have been fullfilling this prophecy my whole life. Cant believe Im really an Aquarius, fuck.

GALA SUCCESS, Money Raised and People Were Merry

Hands down one of the BEST gala's by Lindsay and I. I mean, people were really into it, they all showed up in high spirits and prepared for a great night. An awesome mix of people in the community all mingling and dancing and schmoozing, this was everyone's gala! Its so simple really, we didnt have a huge budget, but we had great buzz and that made the night a huge success. So far we are at about $7400, still counting the cash coming in. Thank you to all that attended, thank you to all that sponsored and supported this night. Im so so so cheesy and cliche, but hell, we live in one helluva cool little town yo.

Alright Im sure the real  hippees in town are gonna give me some heat for this but, Im just so full of joy, I have to share. I go to Cranbrook to visit my dentist, had a little cleaning, had no cavities! I was feeling good, saucy if you will. So I decided to treat myself to a lil soy latte from Starbucks.

I walk in and all the Christmas presents and decos are out. Im like "YAAAAAY".

Why? Because Im sick in the head. hahahahaha

I love Christmas retail. I love it!!!!

All the little gift packs, all the shiny things, the Christmas to-go cups! AAhh my heart was racing! What can I buy and for whom? Can I wrap them? Christmas Christmas, shopping shopping shopping!!!! YAAAAAAY!

I cant help it, I love it. I love the hustle and bustle and snacks and treats and booze and presents and buzz and smiles and crazyness and food and wine and liqueurs!!!
Family stuff is okay I guess, but really Ijust  like the retail and the food parts.

No I didnt shop, I just got my latte and smiled, The As Good As Gold Gala is 25 days away and Christmas is 46 days away! Bring on the Baileys, Bring on the Ovaltine Mint Sticks, bring on the snow, bring on the love people!!

Aside from the fact that I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the new Keith Richards autobiography, he just spilled that the Stones are touring next year. HAHA wow. Woooow. Whatever! Gereatrics at its best and I will pay!

Beauty Basics

Okay, I feel compelled to post this. Time after time I get asked and asked by ladies in the community on how to apply make up. I know! Its so silly, but ya, it is confusing, but this should be easy, but its not!  Cuz no one really shows you these things. Even though its your gaddamn face to the world! I swear, honestly some of this should be basic life skills that they should teach in high school. Seriously, they really dont teach you how to eat properly in high school, may as well teach the ladies how to put on a face...for the so many reasons a lady should know this stuff !

Im not trying to give a lecture on makeup, Im just saying, regardless of how you think society should be, the fact is that we live in a society where you want to know how to put your best face forward at times, makeup can and will make you feel more confident and sexy, its just the way it is so lets all learn the basics people!

Ohhhhh you dont know why? Do you? Well its cool, let me tell you. Later this month on a chilly enchanting evening, there is going to be a massize cool lantern festival downtown Fernie! COOOL! Its gonna be so wonderful. Yes wonderful!

And all the kids and families and travellers willl be out basking in what will look pretty damn rad in the winter sky. But in order for this to happen, the community is invited to the Arts Station for some lantern making workshops so we can pull this shit together. Ol Oz isnt making all these lanterns himself! It doesnt cost anything, its easy to make and you will really enjoy this once it all comes together.
