Closing.
Fields is closing!! No way that sucks man, I really enjoyed having the convienience of that corner place. Fields is closing in Sparwood as well, the economic downturn is being blamed. In Pincher Creek the Fields is closing, but the manager blames the new Wal-Mart for thier closure.
That corner of downtown is gonna look like shit, between the empty Fields and the Disgusting old movie store building the city is gonna need to do some serious investing in hanging flower baskets to cover that up. ughhh.

The more shops the better for our "shopping district". People still do have faith in Fernie! Sweet.

Old School Yo
Did you know there is a "Old School Boxing Club" in the basement of the Ghostrider Trading Building? Ya, I saw a gorgeous sign all done up and lettering on the door that leads to the basement. Called Rizzuto Boxing. Neat. Ive been in the basement, what a cool mysterious place to hold old school boxing. Thats a cool mancave for sure, so ya Ill be sticking with yoga thanks.

Come celebrate Emily Brydon with the entire community this May 12th! Presentations, speeches, live music, BBQ and opportunities to take pictures with Emily and get her autograph. The evening starts with a parade at 4:30 from the College to the Community Centre where the festivities will take place starting at 5pm.
Kevin Giffen hosts the event, as individuals recognize Emily's achievements. A video, slide show, live music including Fernie's popular Shred Kelly, BBQ with proceeds going towards the Emily Brydon Youth Foundation, and autograph/photograph opportunities are all part of the fun evening. See you there!
Wow, I wonder what Emily is thinking, a whole day and a parade! Thats kinda crazy. Shes such a humble gal, hope she has a great day. I hope all the parents out there bring there young daughters to meet Emily, this is what a TRUE ROLE MODEL IS, not KE$HA or Mary-Kate or LaLohan or Heidi Montag.
