Effective June 1

Starting June 1st you will need your passport to jot down to Montana, or wherever in the US. The long awaited rule starts now. To enter the US you will need your passport or one of those enhanced drivers licenses or a status card.
Annoying if you dont have one. And if you dont have one, dont bother with the Cranbrook "Passport Processing" office, all it does is proof-read your info and mail it off for 6 weeks like you would here in Fernie anyway. Also, 19 passport applications that were mailed from the Cranbrook office to Quebec, were lost in the mail. REEEEEAAALLLY shitty for those 19 people who lost all of there most important info likey to identity theives.
